AI Strain Echocardiography
May 15, 2023
Strain imaging is currently the most sensitive parameter reflecting myocardial deformation and systolic left ventricular function. Reduced left ventricular global longitudinal strain (GLS) predicts adverse events, as well as helps diagnose myocardial diseases and monitor sub-clinical myocardial disease progression. We analyzed myocardial global longitudinal strain in three different cohorts.
Fully automated measurements of GLS and Regional Strain correctly identified patients with heart failure and patients with regional wall motion abnormalities and the accuracy was comparable to conventional measurements.
