Guidelines EACVI

European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging

The cardiac-imaging branch of the European Society of Cardiology. Co-author of most major echocardiographic guidelines with ASE.

The European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI) is the cardiac-imaging branch of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC). EACVI develops cardiac imaging guidelines that complement ESC clinical guidelines and frequently co-authors echocardiographic consensus documents with ASE.

Key EACVI-led references include the 2016 ASE / EACVI diastolic-function recommendations, the 2018 EACVI / ASE strain consensus, the 2017 EACVI / ASE valvular regurgitation recommendations, and the EACVI imaging-pathway statements for heart-failure and cardiomyopathy work-ups.

EACVI-aligned reporting is the de facto standard for AI-assisted echocardiography in European markets and integrates naturally with ESC clinical guidelines (heart failure, valvular disease, cardio-oncology).
